Archive-It is a internet crawling robot that captures data for archivists. The tool is made available to selected partners of the Internet Archive. The archivists who use this product set parameters and a schedule to capture data that is stored in their collection. The scope of this project was to give better user experience and a clearer visual design to the existing system. The previous GUI was created by developers in various stages of development. The entire product was wireframed to account for a massive revision to the information architecture and focus on the user paths required for proper functioning. The wireframes were prototyped, tested, refined, and then given a modular design system for a more clear and useful interface. The modular design system allows the developers to continue to develop the application while being able to maintain a consistent experience.
